Project Overview
Install Projects was appointed to complete the full plumbing and electrical installation at Starbucks’ new flagship drive-thru site at Three Maids Hill. Positioned at the foot of the A34, this high-traffic location is more than just a coffee stop – it’s part of a cutting-edge, solar-powered Instavolt charging hub supporting the UK’s green travel infrastructure.
Scope of Work
We delivered a full mechanical and electrical fit-out, helping to create one of Starbucks’ most energy-efficient locations to date. Key deliverables included:
Electrical installation:
- Complete internal and external wiring
- Power and data supply for front-of-house and kitchen equipment
- Integration with solar-powered Instavolt charging infrastructure
- Connection and setup of Building Management System (BMS)
Plumbing installation:
- Water-saving and limiting plant installations
- Leak detection systems across high-risk zones
- Fully fitted customer and staff washroom facilities
- Pipework and drainage to suit eco-focused design
Sustainability & Smart Controls:
This site was designed with sustainability in mind. Our team installed and commissioned:
- A Building Management System (BMS) for smart control of lighting, heating, and energy use
- Leak detection technology to minimise water waste and identify issues early
- Water-saving systems including pressure-limiting valves and eco-efficient fixtures
Results
The project was delivered on time and in line with Starbucks’ environmental goals. With its advanced systems and solar-powered setting, this store sets a new standard for sustainable retail design in the UK coffee sector.
