New Build – Drive-Thru Starbucks (Two Floors)

Project Overview

Install Projects was proud to deliver the full electrical and plumbing installation for Starbucks’ brand-new drive-thru site in Newton Abbot. Situated next to the renowned Newton Abbot Racecourse, this two-storey unit adds a modern and convenient coffee stop to a high-traffic area popular with both locals and visitors.

Scope of Work

We carried out a comprehensive M&E (mechanical and electrical) fit-out, covering both staff and customer-facing areas. This included:

Electrical installation:

Full wiring for lighting, power and data
Specialist connections for kitchen and barista equipment
External lighting and signage connections
Impressive lit archways and seating areas
Distribution board installation and commissioning

Plumbing installation:

Water supply and waste systems for kitchen and coffee prep areas
Staff welfare facilities including toilets and hand wash stations
Customer toilets with modern, efficient fittings
Above and below ground drainage solutions

Results

Working on a new-build, fast-track schedule, coordination with other trades was essential to ensure deadlines were met without compromising on quality. Our experienced team worked closely with the main contractor and Starbucks' design team to ensure the store met brand standards while delivering efficiency and comfort for both staff and customers.

The new Newton Abbot store was handed over on time and ready for its grand opening. With clean, efficient systems and smart lighting throughout, it’s now welcoming coffee lovers in a highly visible and well-frequented location.
